| Introduction | I tried to find an easy to follow procedure to convert my zippo lighter into the Elsa lighter. |

| Instructions | ||
| Draw the outline of your lighter onto the paper and cut it out. | ![]() |

| Reduce the size by cutting the same amount of paper all around your template. | ![]() |
|
| Place the template on the wood and trace around the edges | ||
| The wood can be easily cut with an excato knife | ![]() |
|
| Use fine sandpaper to round and bevel the edges |

| Apply the wood sealant onto the surface to seal imperfections and let dry | ![]() |
|
| Use fine sandpaper to smooth the surface and make it dust free | ||
| Apply the first coat of white enamel paint and let dry | ||
| You will probably need to apply another coat of white paint and let dry | ||
| Use the clover template to transfer the clover image onto the lighter with carbon paper | Download size 0.94 x 1.14 inch |

| Use the green paint to fill the clover and let dry | ||
| Trace the clover images with a black line and add the details | ||
| Without a steady hand it will be difficult to trace the black line and details , using a black permanent marker (EDDING 400)will be much easier | ||
| To increase abbrasion resistance i advice to apply two coats of transparent Polyurethane (PU) lacquer | ||
